The standard workshop we offer is about 1.5 hours for a class of around 30 children; it gives an introduction into climate change and the different areas of sustainability, as well as how topics are relevant to the children. Topics are brought to life with videos as well as interactive activities, to help give practical examples that they will remember in a positive manner. The standard workshop is currently offered at a reduced rate of £150.
If the class is studying a particular topic e.g. oceans, rainforests or fashion, we can tailor the workshop and incorporate this into the session or, if preferred, extend the session to focus on the relevant topic in more detail.
Planeteers can also run or coordinate a sustainability day or week for your students. We recently ran an day for Year 6 covering sustainability, climate change and how to calculate a carbon footprint, part of which considered the school's carbon footprint. In the afternoon we arranged for another organisation to come in to discuss sustainable fashion in more detail and do a practical upcycle project which the kids really enjoyed.
