Sustainability naturally links into so many areas of the curriculum and often filters into the ethos of the whole school. Parents and children have a growing interest in the topic and a desire for it to be covered at school.
Planeteers can help you to deliver a thought-provoking and engaging sustainability workshop that helps you meet these expectations, we can tailor the workshop so it relates to the topic of work you are covering.
Planeteers also works with other organisations which complement the workshop, for example we recently did a workshop which focussed on pollution in the oceans, Planeteers then organised a Lego company to come in to allow the children to build their own Lego contraptions to clean up the ocean. Planeteers also worked with a sustainable fashion organisation and after the workshop the Year 6 children upcycled old jumpers into hats and mittens. We find the collaborations work well and really engage the children.
“Thank you for coming in to talk to us about the Planeteers and how we can all be more sustainable. The children were really engaged in the activities and loved your climate change experiment. They continued to talk about food and product labelling after you had left. (luckily our classroom soap had the rabbit mark showing no animals were used in testing it!) I would happily recommend your session to my friends in other schools.”

“Emma came to our school and ran a fantastic sustainability workshop which she tailored to our current rainforest topic. She provided an interactive session full of group tasks, fun videos, engaging content and gave the children lots of ‘food for thought’. The children were buzzing after the session and were all enthusiastically sharing the changes they were going to make at home to do their bit for sustainability. I highly recommend this workshop for schoolchildren”
Miss Dobson, Year 3 teacher
"This workshop was fun, interactive and informative. Emma discussed pollution in a way that informed children of the causes, demonstrated the impact and gave ideas for action they could take. The hands-on activities ensured all children could access the learning and many opportunities were given for the children to contribute their ideas. The children all came away with practical ways they can save the planet, definitely the next generation of eco-warriors!"
